Your article reminded me of my attempt in a third grant from NSF, and developing further at a conference at FIU. Unfortunately It was too ahead of time. Academia loved me, but the industry did not and I did not have the power on my own to continue.

In the early 1990s I was working on my 3rd grant award from NSF: “A 3-D/4-D Computerized Model for Human-Machine Integration in Apparel Manufacturing Engineering” NSF-SBIR #9161096. I became friends with a graduate student in the…

Hi Mary. Love the poem and clouds. Here is mine:

Clouds have meaning;

I know they do.

A stilled action;

I caught a view.

The artist replied,

“Cumulus, today”.

And ac-cumulates a story,

Shaping – the way.

Clear puffs of joy –

From misty dew –

Reflects my heart;

Déjà vu!

A dream once had –

Of ultimate bliss;

Yellow sand – blue sky;

No clouds – like this.

My life – my actions –

Cause clouds you see.

We share this, Lanu!! I, too, was brought up in the Methodist Church, I taught in its Sunday School as a teen, and my mother died in the church in 1963. Although I left formal religion for spirituality, I too loved the Methodists' hymns - and ofte sing them to myself at times. I have a picture of my Methodist Hymnal that a friend gave to me in 1960. I will send by email,because I can't seem to add it here. Thank you, Lanu, and sending lots of love.
